The towns and cities have also been redone. The clothing armor, weapons, etc are all redone (prepare for you lance to break constantly), and new stuff like heraldry flags are added. Also, unlike base Mount and Blade, everything looks historically accurate. While I might be wrong, I'm pretty sure it's by and large Early Medieval music recovered and sung either by indie bands or historical artists, especially the monastic chanting or the jubilant light drums. Probably my favorite thing about the mod though is the music. It's impossible to conquer the map- it would probably take years in real time to nail Europe down, and even then rebellion and evasion would likely prevent you from every conquering it all. The best way I can describe just the scope, politicking, and empire building of this mod is that it's Total War in first person.

England under the Norman banner tries to quash and unify into what would later become the United Kingdom as it fends off attacks from France.
Civil Wars ravage Italy as the numerous opposing factions in 1257 vie for power and unification. Nations go to war, full ones with the actual historic lords and king leading them.
Battles are massive, going as far as your PC can handle, up to including armies of several hundred troops, you included in the massed cavalry charge, as lines drawn across a mile clash into each other. Just sitting in the First Reich right now as a measly meager Lord with a single town to my name, I'm watching fleets of thousands of men pass by in the Mediterranean or the arctic ocean as legions upon legions of troops make way to invade other nations on an actual true scale of warfare typically only found in RTS's. Anno Domini IS Europe in its entirety, from the Welsh all the way to Mother Russia. And that battlefield is nothing in the grand scheme of things. That ladies and gentlemen is a right and proper crusade. These aren't pathetic Swadian roving bands of cav or Rhodok two hundred man pikeman blocks, these are in the thousands. I just pulled this from a quick search just to display the shear level of power that gets thrown around in this mod. I wish I got it sooner, because holy shit does this blow Floris clean out of the water. I'd like to bump this thread simply to say that for those of you who have not gotten Anno Domini yet.
